Organised jointly by the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), the national body of plumbing professionals, and AIM Expositions Private Limited (AIMEX) at Mumbai on January 30 & 31, 2009, this two-day program was hosted in a well-decorated and technically-equipped area within the exhibition hall. The themes of the Symposium were, “Water and Energy Conservation - Conflicts & Concerns” and “Retrofitting and Refurbishing - Emerging Opportunity for Indian Plumbing Industry”. One of the oldest sponsors to IPA events and well respected industry name - KiTEC came forward to support this initiative by joining as Industry Partner to Plumbing Symposium.

Both the days of the Symposium were well attended not only by senior working professionals, but also by students and freshers in the field. What was most remarkable was the level of knowledge and the openness for discussions amongst all present there. Resembling a melting-pot of sort, the Symposium Hall was a great place for exchange of information and ideas by speakers and audience from across the globe. Without any doubt, this new initiative by the organisers of PlumbexIndia Show was one of the most profusely appreciated activities during the three-day exhibition.

The topics of the Symposium were arrived at after great deliberation by the organisers. What clinched the deal in favour of the above topics was their relevance to the present times. Little wonder then, there was great enthusiasm about the topics within both the speakers and the audience.

Much to the credit of Show, even in this hour of recession, this B2B show managed to attract more than 5500 quality visitors, including Plumbing Consultants, Plumbing Contractors, Architects, Interior Designers, Real Estate Developers, Builders, Utility Owners, Students, Academicians and Product Specifiers. So, while the Show provided ‘Value for Money' to the exhibitors, the visitors were happy to see so many products and technologies from across the world, assembled under one roof. In short, PlumbexIndia'09 emerged as the prime example of a win:win situation for both exhibitors and visitors!

The organizers also succeeded in receiving extremely positive industry response for the next show- PlumbexIndia'10 to be organized in Mumbai between 5 - 7 February 2010! Geberit of Switzerland has confirmed its participation as Principal Partner whereas Grundfos of Denmark and Viega of Germany too have reaffirmed their endorsement of the Show by extending their roles of being Co-Partner and Associate Partner respectively of PlumbexIndia'10. On top of that, most of the exhibitors present in Plumbexindia'09 have confirmed their participation at PlumbexIndia'10 , underlining the resounding success PlumbexIndia'09.
